Masonic Temple In Fort Collins Has...

Secrets! Ghosts! Windows To Look Into The Past!

Meg Dunn Of The Fort Collins Historical Society Writes A Great Article!

They say Masons are not a secret society, but a society with secrets.  Well these secrets are revealed in this amazing article by the Fort Collins Historical Society and their ace writer Meg Dunn:

You can Google "Masonic Secrets" and read all kinds of dastardly things about Masons.  The truth is they are a bunch of guys who like to help people.  Today there are streets and buildings and schools named after these do gooders, all over Fort Collins.

On my mothers side, three relatives came out to the North Dakota prairie in the 1800's, started 30,000 acres of farms and started a town.  Masons like to start things.  The town was later taken over by prostitutes so that chapter was never written in our family history book.  I guess all three brothers were Masons, but even some of their ventures failed.

Several of the Buttz brothers did serve in the Dakota territorial legislature to help found the state, so I guess that effort worked out, however.

Lots of interesting historical things can be seen in the old buildings of Fort Collins.  This article and web site brings out so many interesting facts, I hope you read it, and visit our town if you don't live here.  You can even visit the Masonic Temple like I'm told some ghosts do.  Check out "The Blue Room" for more on this!
