Serves Up Great Coffee, Food, And Friendly Atmosphere!

Finding a great coffee shop is like finding a home away from home.  It was a big part of my life, after leaving home, in my 13 years of college in four states: Minnesota, North Dakota, Oregon and New Mexico. A great coffee shop warms you up inside and out...it is warm, inviting, with cool stuff on the walls and an ambience that inspires.

I'm sitting by a window overlooking college, looking at magazines, a gumball machine, students coming and going, and I just had a great lunch of a beef gyro and mediterranean salad with a reduction vinagerette.  Fabulous.

The Boar has great coffee, great food, not by accident: they have selected the best of local craft brewers and coffee roasters and food makers...so your meal isn't just good for you, it's local, it's good for the local economy too.  This is a cafe with class and heart.

The Wild Boar Cafe is all of the things I look for in a coffee shop or a restaurant.

I kind of collect great cafe memories.  When I chose to come to Fort Collins and live here, the Starry Night Cafe was a big reason.  What a cool place with high ceilings, ancient history in its architecture, and of course, yummy latte's.

I spoke with one of the staff and she told me they had a dream to make an inviting coffee shop that students would like, for studying, coffee, lunch, just a great place to hang out.  Even CSU professors have snuck in the back door and held class in the basement.

They have quiet rooms, nooks with soft chairs, a basement with lots of tables, a back patio with lots of room and shade, in all they boast 6,000 square feet of an ecosystem for coffee aficianado's and folks who just want to hang out with friendly people.

I've given some public talks on stress managment at The Boar, and I hope to give more talks there, and  they welcomed that idea with open arms.  Three cheers for Fort Collins's gem of a coffee shop, The Wild Boar Cafe!
