Colorado Division Of Wildlife Is Trying To Help Kids Get Hooked On Fishing!

There is nothing like the thrill in a young boy or girls' eyes when they catch a wiggly rainbow trout!  My Mom told me I was so excited at age 6 when I caught my first trout, I couldn't stop talking about it. 

I guess I still can't, so I'm writing about it!

There are lots of places with trout fishing in Colorado that are good for kids.  Lakes all over Fort Collins get stalked heavily with trout, early in the spring.  Contact the Colorado Division Of Wildlife by phone to get the stocking report.  Then get to those lakes within several days of them getting stocked and hit them hard with worms on a hook!

Good places include: city park lake in Fort Collins, St. Vrain Ponds south of Loveland, just off I 25, and many other lakes on the following map:
